Watercolor

Lydia Gladkova makes her watercolors on the floor. She works on several at a time; as the watercolors are large, they require the involvement of the whole body. About half of the paintings head to the pile of rejects. In the process, the watercolors are turned 180 degrees many times. She works of the edge, mostly linearly, adding new marks, sometimes small, often large, until a sense of a whole is achieved.
